    New Lodge vineyard is based just outside Earls Barton. Their vines are planted on southwest-facing slopes overlooking the Nene Valley. The wine estate is in close proximity to the ancient site of one of England’s oldest recorded vineyards dating back to the Roman invasion of Britain.

    The vineyard was established in 2000 and features lush fertile terroir of crumbly, well-drained loam. The first vines to be planted were Bacchus, Phoenix, and Seyval Blanc, however, expansion in 2010 led to the vineyard planting Solaris, Regent, and Pinot Noir vines too. These grape varietals in particular were chosen as they best suit the English climate.

    Owner, Joyce Boulos-Hanna, and her daughter, Gabby (the vineyard manager), personally tend to the vines by hand. Grapes are usually harvested in October and red, white, and sparkling wines are vinified over the following months and years.

      The most amazing, friendly, wholesome vine yard. Gorgeous wine, and beautiful setting. My favourite part of the vine yard is that it is dog friendly, they can roam and adventure and say hello to resident Mabel and Leo. Joyce is fantastic and has made the most amazing social village setting. Thank you 🙂
