Hanwell Wine Estate’s story began in the 1970s when owner Helenka’s parents moved to a house in the nearby area. At the property, they found a vine in an old greenhouse which sparked an idea that changed everything for the family. Helenka’s parents subsequently planted Eglantine Vineyard in 1979 and now produces award-winning Nottinghamshire wine.
William and Helenka chose to follow the family into winemaking and planted their own vineyard naming it Hanwell Wine Estate. ‘Hanwell’ combines their children’s names which is a loving, personal touch!
